Twingetz Privacy Policy

Summary

Twingetz is a Chrome extension for managing simple follow-ups around WhatsApp Web. The current beta stores your Twingetz data locally in your browser and does not include third-party analytics, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or cloud synchronization.

Information Twingetz Processes

Twingetz may process visible information from WhatsApp Web in your browser to provide its core features:

• Active chat name or phone number.
• Visible contact information.
• Visible recent message snippets used only as local context.
• Local follow-up details that you create, such as notes, tags, amounts, dates, and contact fields.

How Information Is Used

Twingetz uses this information to:

• Identify the active WhatsApp Web conversation.
• Save local contact records and follow-ups.
• Display local badges in the WhatsApp Web chat list.
• Show local reminder notifications.
• Export a CSV backup when you request it.

Local Storage

In the current beta, Twingetz stores data locally using browser storage. This data remains on the browser profile where the extension is installed unless you export it manually or remove it through browser or extension storage controls.

Data Sharing

Twingetz does not sell your data. The current beta does not send your contacts, messages, notes, follow-ups, or exported CSV data to Twingetz servers.

Analytics and Tracking

The current beta does not include analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, advertising trackers, or third-party behavioral tracking. Chrome Web Store may provide aggregated listing metrics to the developer, such as installs, impressions, or uninstall rate.

Permissions

• storage: save local contacts, follow-ups, settings, and workspace data.
• sidePanel: display the Twingetz panel.
• alarms: schedule local reminders.
• notifications: show local reminders.
• tabs: detect whether the active tab is WhatsApp Web and communicate with that tab.
• https://web.whatsapp.com/*: run Twingetz only on WhatsApp Web.

Future Cloud or Sync Features

Future versions may add optional cloud sync, backup, accounts, or team collaboration. If those features are introduced, Twingetz will update this policy and request user consent before sending data to cloud services.
